- Do I need my parent’s consent for an appointment?
It is not necessary to obtain your parent’s consent. We understand that you may be scared to talk to your parents about your situation and may even be concerned about how they may respond. If you are concerned about telling your parents that you are pregnant, you can discuss this with your client advocate. She will help you determine the best way to approach that difficult conversation. - Will my insurance be billed for services that my husband, parent, or guardian will see?
All of our services are free of charge and we do not bill your insurance for any service. It is not necessary to provide us with any insurance information. - When can I find out if I am pregnant?
It can be difficult waiting to find out if you are pregnant or not, but pregnancy testing cannot determine pregnancy until about 28 days after the 1st day of your last menstrual period. At the soonest point that pregnancy is able to be determined the fetus is considered to be 4 weeks. However, a viable pregnancy within the uterus can only be determined through ultrasound. - I am considering abortion. If I choose to abort do I need to do so immediately?
It is not necessary and not advised to rush into a decision. In the state of Ohio abortions are performed up until the 24th week. Regardless of your decision, it will have lasting effects on you. Therefore it is important that you get the facts and explore all of your options before deciding.
